Western Washington Medical Group is pleased to announce that Dr. John Okemah and Dr. Diane Doerner have joined our Internal Medicine practice and they are now seeing new patients. If you have been looking for a caring and personable internist who will listen to you and explain the things you need to know, Dr. Okemah or Dr. Doerner would be a good choice.
Doctors of Internal Medicine have a focus on adult medicine that centers on chronic disease or puzzling medical problems that adults face. They have special study and training focusing on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases.
Dr. Okemah was previously at Valley General Hospital in Monroe. He attended the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and was Chief Resident at Akron General Medical Center. He attended Washington State University and graduated with a BS in Biology.
His focus of practice is providing quality care to his patients with a primary focus on education and teaching in a way that is appropriate for each individual. Dr. Okemah is very interested in establishing a trusting relationship with his patients. He enjoys running, swimming, boxing and martial arts, and is the team physician for the Washington STealth NLL Lacrosse.
Dr. Doerner was previously at Valley General Hospital in Monroe and at the University of Washington Medicine Clinic
Dr. Doerner received her medical degree from the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine and her PhD from the University of New Mexico
